The EE braggers thread!!!

The girl on the top looks like she's got that Ameraucana influence, so despite the lack of beard/muffs, I would call her an EE. It's not just the pea comb, but the lack of wattles that's telling. If you look at the bottoms of her feet, she will probably have yellow pads. (Now that I think of it, BAs may have yellow as well, but the EEs usually do which is why so many of them have green legs.)
She's very pretty and gives you a green egg to match her beautiful iridescent feathers. (Actually, 2 of my favorites in one! BA + EE =

Come to think of it, YES I had read that the pea comb does reduce wattles . Thanks for pointing that out !

Poor Flo.... Strawberry is close to the top if not head hen out of my girls, I wish she would start laying, The man I got her from said she laid green eggs, but we have had her a week tomorrow and no eggs from any of the new girls, The only eggs Im getting is white so they are coming from the leghorn.

No beards, one is definitely a full BA, this first one, MollyB is the BA imposter with a EE comb. She looks just like the other one except that darn comb. So I am shocked to find that she is laying the green egg, UNLESS she is isn't the one but she was laying in the nest this morning and the green egg is the only one I got today.

Your Molly looks much like a EExBlack Australorp that I have; she just began laying. Her first three eggs were a light olive; as they have gotten bigger they are getting lighter, now they are more of a khaki color.

My two favorites also. I researched and that is what I decided to go with. Want to add a few more of both this spring once we get the new coop and run built so I can have more room.

So far I have gotten four green eggs and they are all the same color. Chickens sure are interesting.

I have heard of putting green or blue food coloring on the vent to determine who lays what. I've never done it but I plan on doing it in the future.

That is a thought. I am hoping to catch her on the nest again in the morning and see if she lays. I had to go to work when she was on the nest this time but with it being the only egg in the nest I can't imagine it being anyone else.
