A couple pictures of some Orp/EE crosses hatched March 26 – pictures taken June 9th.

I hatch a lot of blues, almost 100 % blue based – so this little girl was a surprise.
I am thinking of calling her Robin – Robin Red Breast

I hatched out a lot of these babies, but sold most. I also had a hatchmate to these two, a pullet with muffs, but a coon got her

Ps Robin Red Breast is so cool looking, and the blues are just gorgeous

Where did you get the eggs?

Here are mine, got them from a local calling them Americanas. lol. Hopefully we at least get green eggs. Knowing my luck they'll all lay brown.

My roosters. Blackbeard and the other one doesn't have a name yet.

Muffy one of the girls. There is another with her coloring but darker with no beard and there are two black and white striped ones I didn't get pics of.

I wanted to share my EE. This picture also has Clover, a white leghorn, and Paula, a SLW.

Lucky was really shaky when I got her- very unsteady on her feet, and seemed in shock. Then, when I was letting my 11 year old her, she had a sudden surge of energy and jumped out of her hands and fell almost 4 feet. I thought for sure she would die. She's been really great and perfectly healthy since though.

My Bertha is somewhere between your Mabel & Lucky in coloring. She's only about 14 weeks, if that. I really have no idea of her age, but she's the biggest/oldest of the youngsters I have. I am told she'll start laying around mid/late July, but she seems a little young. She was also sold to me as ameraucana, but I think she's an EE. Not a great picture, but she's camera shy.

I have a Bertha too- she's a huge LF cochin

She & this black Orp (with a little help from the bator) hatched out a bunch of EEs/OEs, wheaten ameraucanas, welsummers & cochins. I have to say- the EEs are the cutest with those cheeks!

I have to share this pic with everyone I know- love the little face poking out

Kansaseq – I just love the cross, how bout you? Thanks for the complements.

New2chooks – I think she is different too. I have always admired the white/light EEs posted. Cannot wait to see what she lays colorwise.

HenPecked_bychildren – The eggs are mine. I have a heritage Splash Orpington Roo over some hatchery EEs (plus others).

PrincessChicken – They are all adorable. I really like the silver lace pattern – I have a large silver laced Cochin and a bunch of young Bantam silver laced Cochins.

Hellena Handbasket – Mine tend to start between 18 to 20 weeks laying. She will change a lot between now and then – her comb will swell and face redden. So exciting the wait to see what color egg she will lay.

HappyMtn – Adorable picture. I do not know which I like more – the peeking peep or the combined effort of the broody girls.

OMG! That is the cutest thing! I so want a broody hen to raise a clutch, now.

Horsefeathers--I do like the cross. Just wish I had more room to raise a whole flock of them. How many do you have, and what color are they laying (if they are old enough?)

These are some pics of my 3 month old EE's. Here is Judith
