I find the chickens don't care too much either way, but they definitely dislike a few. "Zombie" is one of their least favourites, which is a pity because I like it.

Absolutely counts! It's slow and from their over commercialized phase, but it's a great song and still counts

Male Coturnix quail get all wound up over Zombie. I think parts of it sound a bit like their calls is why. Well when I attempt to sing it anyway lol

Absolutely not. As a public service to the health of the inner ears of the general public...just no lol! I do have clips from over the last year or so of funny reactions I've gotten from the animals with music or singing. Maybe I'll make a compilation some day if I can work out how to edit my face out of the footage

I don't sing to my chickens but I have used a radio to drown out the neighbors dogs barking. The flock seemed to enjoy that. Not sure if it was due to the music or the dogs being quiet.

I knew my dogs were loud but didn't realize you could hear them up there.

Thank you soooo much for sharing this. You made my day. I have not done this with my flock (yet), but my dogs! So Iron Maiden “Fear of the Dark” becomes fear of the DOG and and I blast it and roll down the windows of the Jeep on 4wd roads and my catahoula mutt clearly loves every minute of it! Haha. I think she now associates Maiden with outdoor adventure. My old dog clearly digs Metallica and other music with a good bass line I foresee the ducks getting riled up by some metal (or hardcore) in the near future. I think they’d enjoy some mosh pit action in the kiddie pool.
