Illness or injury? Noticed her like this last night. I washed it, it didn't open. I put triple antibiotic ointment on it. It's still not open. Ideas?

I cannot get it open. It's stuck closed. She's been in the breeding pen. I'm thinking it's been scratched.

@LynSage it does look like there is a mark in the corner of the eye, i would see if you can get some optic antibiotics (the gel kind that melt into the eye)

It opened a couple hours after the Neosporin. It was not cloudy. I went to the feed store and they recommend Terramyocin ointment. She didn't like it but it's on there. Should I give her a shot of Tylan?

The Terrramycin eye ointment is good. See if you can flush the eye with saline and remove any pus (gunk) from the eye, then re-apply the ointment. Do this a couple of times a day, hopefully this will make a marked improvement.

Even if you decide to give antibiotics (Tylan) pus will need to be removed to see any improvement.

Hey guys. Just keeping you up to speed and need some help. Few weeks back I posted about a chick with an eye issue, we treated it for eye worm and had no help with it. We've taken Sprite (the injured chick) to 2 vets. They did some tests but nothing seemed conclusive. It just started to spread to our other chick Artie, and Sprite has both eyes shut and cannot see, I can post photos if need be.

And a few minutes ago I realized that the issue was in my face all along. My flock has had issues with fowl pox as I have posted here, and that's what it seems to be, but now it is wet. I know there is no treatment but any advice on how to help it? Thank you for you guys support

usually when fowl pox goes into wet pox it becomes a dangerous virus because it can kill the bird due to the respiratory infection that it causes. Have you noticed any coughing sneezing nasal discharge wheezing or rattling in the chest? If there is a respiratory infection you will need to treat it with antibiotics. other than that you will need to continue providing supportive care. Give them some vitamin mineral electrolyte mix in their water, good food, clean bedding, keep them warm and dry. I would like to see some pictures of the ones with what you believe to be wet pox.
