I am feeling a little bit better. Hope the extra work getting ready for Irma doesn't set me back, but it has to be done. I had a lot already done, but there are always those pesky things that need to be done closer to the time of the storm's approach. Cages are all set up, so my chickens will safely reside in my garage during the thing. Dh was called in to work, so Dd#1, 3 grandchildren, and I are going to ride this out on our own. We should be fine.
Good luck with the storm, Cheryl. I'm glad you're feeling better. Hate that you have to do all the storm prep work, though. Just be careful and let others do most of it, don't push yourself too much.
So sad to loose a fine hen. She had a good, long, happy life.
Cyn it looks like Ida may visit you as well.
You must mean Irma will be visiting, LOL. Ida is on my mind still, too. We will miss that big, grouchy gal.
Yes, it does seem we'll get some of this storm Monday and Tuesday. EVERYONE is up here in our town, crazy traffic, lots of strangers. Tom says it would kill him to move, but yesterday, he said, there are too many people here, we need to move! LOL. It was nuts with all the "storm refugees". I said just say the word and I'll look further north into northeast TN. That's too far for the Floridians to come up to flee bad weather. And it's not the second home market that we are, with all sorts of folks who own cabins here.
Tuesday, Tom has to drive the Honda CRV to Cleveland, TN to get the airbag replaced-it's one of those that was recalled by Takada, but until lately, no one has had the part to replace it; they just kept sending us notices to cover their butts that it must be replaced ASAP. Cleveland is an hour away, down the Ocoee River corridor. Hope the river is not too high with all the extra rain that day.
