Thanks for posting the pictures. All of your chickens are sooo pretty and Druscilla appears to have a little attitude in that picture...love it. Atlas couldn't be more handsome.
"Hunka-Chunka" is a wonderful description for that little man chicken. He is just too precious, they all are! Have the chicks started buddying up yet? I was just looking at your weather forecast and it looks like it won't be warm enough for Rachel to take her brood outside for while.
Our weather here is gorgeous, clear as a bell and 67, I wish I could send it your way. We are taking advange of it and putting in another 8x16 raised bed today.
How is the bed runner coming? You are very talented Cyn, and it is amazing that you were able to find that fabric depicting all three of your sweet boys.
Just showed my sweet husband the pics of the babies and Atlas and his girls. He was so impressed and asked me a ton of questions about them. He even wanted to see a pic of your sweet Rex. You gotta love a man who loves chickens and will wear a "Real Men Love Chickens" tee-shirt. LOL!
Nice to hear that Atlas shaped up into such a fine boy and left his teenage troubles behind.
It is clear I could never be a true Southerner, sweet tea makes my teeth ache. My grandmother gave us tea (hot) from the time we were young, but never let us use any sugar in it, so I just got used to it that way.![]()
It's PICTURE DAY!Okay, here we go, chicks are really starting to "form" now! I see one very definite pullet and one very definite cockerel; other than that, it's anybody's guess. I may go further and say there are two males, but as for another one, I can't really say. They are a week and two days old today. Click to blow up the photos and guess along with me. The flash is throwing things off and it's a bit chilly for them to come outside. Best I could do was have the outer door open to let in some light.
Atlas & Crew, plus BABIES!
This front-and-center is my 100% sure hunka-chunka Son of Atlas-look at that sumo stance!
And Atlas with his gorgeous buxom beauties. He is 42 weeks old this Friday.
