The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Please be sure to share how you like the SS feed. I am interested to find out if it is in fact a no animal protein feed. SS has a line of All-Grain feeds, that they advertise as a no animal fat or animal protein diet. I have always fed the SS All-Grain feeds, not because of the no animal protein line, but because of the added minerals and probiotics. I have always been pleased with it, and my birds thrive on it. I've fed both the layer breeder pellets as well as the meat bird maker crumbles 20% protein(to non-meat birds). I have mostly settled on the meat bird maker, as an all flock feed. My broody hens raise their chicks within the flock, so one feed for all is a must. There is always free choice oyster shell and egg shell(when available). My chickens also go on range and get various scraps, so again, no worries about the protein source for me.

Let me know how it goes for you!

Well, I couldn't get it. The feed store had a weevil infestation from some shipment and she was selling all her weevil'd feed for $8/bag, but I didn't want buggy feed. That store has never had a bug issue until this one and she's trying to get it under control, but I didn't want buggy feed no matter how cheap. So, I had to go to TSC, which I loathe, because I am completely out of feed. I had to get that nasty Purina, blech. That Layena stinks like chemicals! It costs $4 more than my usual layer feed and is 16% rather than 22% as well. And it better not be moldy like they're famous for. My only other option is Wayne's Feed in Murphy, NC. I know they carry SS, but haven't bought there in many years. If that fails, I'll have to go back to my trusty Tucker Milling, maybe go back to the 16% for awhile instead of my usual 22%. I just don't know what to do.

Good news about the dogs.

Tell him to change the locks.

Absolutely, no question. Tom asked Michael if he could be present when she leaves on Friday and he thinks he may be able to get away from the restaurant for that long to be there. I want him to demand her keys back, then change the locks, too, in case she's given them to someone else, like her parents who live behind them. Yeah, he says she's beside herself with upset over the dog, and he feels bad for her (say what? WHY?), but this couldn't have worked out better for him, Ghost and Sophie. She says her new guy's mother has a job lined up for her. Just wait until the mother realizes that her son's new girlfriend is older than she is (the mother). She's already paid $1800 to ship boxes of stuff over there. If, no when, this blows up in her face, she's going to be in a real pickle. She cashed in her 401K to finance her little venture and soon, she'll have no money, no boyfriend, no country and no husband in the end.

My younger son has finished his 3rd book and showed us a preview of the cover. This looks like it may have a wider age appeal than the first two, which were sort of a series and more for pre-teens.

Oh, and Bailey will not eat anything. She hasn't eaten all day long. I made her eggs/oatmeal/grits and left it in her cage. Hasn't touched it. We syringe water in her mouth twice a day to make sure she isn't completely dehydrated, really just trying to keep her afloat until she flips her switch to survival again. But, her crop is still a small, pliable pouch and she is skin and bones. I don't know why she refuses to eat at all. She'll nip grass seed heads out on range and eat maybe two bites of a pancake I make her, but nothing else.

ETA:
Everything we read online says my son's wife could take the dog with all she's done already. He has a pet passport, is microchipped and everything, however, only certain carriers can take the dog and she changed carriers, so she may have shot herself in the foot. Whatever, I'm not saying a word because, knowing my son, always wanting to be an open book, he'd tell her that the airline may have made a mistake or it is just that the chosen airline is the cause of this issue. He can be his own worst enemy. So, mum's the word. But, Ladyhawk says that she can't ship furs (they are tanners) into the UK or Australia because of the laws in those two places. She says anything with fur is a problem, living or dead. Who knows? Whatever, it seems as if all lined up to allow him to keep his dog. I just hope when her life all falls apart over there, he doesn't allow her to have the dog when she returns to the States.

I agree with you on keeping the information to yourself. He's already said he feels sorry for her, so you know he'd blab it to her. I wouldn't worry about demanding her keys back. It's much safer to change all the locks. The hardware store should be his first stop, on the way home from the airport, and his first task when he gets home. If he has a back door, or side door, tell him not to forget to change those locks too. OH, and have him reprogram his garage door opener(s), then too, if she has one.

Oh, he knows about the garage door opener. That was my father's business, garage doors. And we asked how she was getting to the airport. He said he has no idea, probably one of her friends, but he's not taking her. He has to work. He is just hoping to get off long enough to see her out the door to make sure she leaves without doing anything destructive.

Nice book cover!

And...
Do I understand you correctly to say that this x-wife has never met this guy face-to-face? If that's the case, who in the world sends possessions overseas without at least meeting the person, spending some time together, and deciding if it's going to work out?

:idunno

As far as I know, they have not met in person, no. And the kind of person is the kind who is immature and stupid.
