The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Maybe that's the kind of oregano I have, I was growing in a small raised bed but I think it took over that whole side of the yard. Fortunately it makes a nice green lawn.

Smells good, too. I strips a lot of the stems and put the leaves in all the nest boxes.

I took a few pictures in the gardens, but forgot to post them. Not much to really see yet. This is my Mexican Oregano. I can't kill the stuff. Tom mowed it to the ground and here she is again. I can barely keep my Cuban Oregano in a pot alive and it's apparently very sensitive to cold so I have to bring it inside through winter. This stuff just keeps on going. Looks good! I like your raised garden. I would love to make one but my "to do" list is long. I broke down and bought 12 plants yesterday (bad me!) and have to start a sort of nursery . There were so many things I loved that I could not grow in Florida, but now I can grow things I could in New York, I got some lavender and shasta daisies, 1 tomato plant, some boxwoods. I have some daylilies I brought from FL that were sort of special order. The people before me have some flowering stuff planted but I can't figure out what most is or when their time of bloom is. I still have to design my garden or gardens.

Got chicks the other day, 6 Houdans, some BR's and BO's. I have to sell some. But it's just so cute. I guess we never get tired of chicks, do we? Really bad picture!

That's what we thought, but no deal. I could see them swimming around, just not biting. Our temps this spring have been running 10 degrees below normal. But my lettuce and onions are coming up :)

I love fishing. But now I live in Indiana and it's the first time I don't have a coast.
