~The Forests of Avalon, A Dragon Roleplay~ 2

Aesta flew closer, tying not to be seen. The look in her eyes was between fear and the curiousity that drove her to step closer. She had no idea who was fighting who, but for some reason she felt the need to stick around and see who won.

Tanis held eye contact with Frill for a split second, wishing with all her heart that they would see each other again before the night was out. She returned the nod but had no time for words as, as soon as Frill was gone, she spotted the figure of Droll in her peripheral vison. His attack was quick and distracting, the roar and flames made it difficult to pin-point exactly where it was coming from. But though he was quick, Tanis was quicker. Her small size made her an agile and nimble flyer, and she managed to roll sharply to the left to avoid his claws and the worst of the flames, although the heat blackened parts of her belly and legs. As she righted herself she fought to find exactly where Droll was to avoid another attack if necessary, or launch one of her own, but the noise and chaos of the battle confused her senses and she couldn't located him right away.

The attack came from the sky this time. Droll dove in straight at her from above and behind, once again with flames and claws. He changed his tactic this time; and instead of coming in slow enough to allow himself time to adjust, he tried to come in fast enough to deny Tanis any timeto react effectively.

None of the Pelendavian warriors seen or noticed her approaching, all were too focused and busy with the battle.

Tanis jerked her head around in all directions, desperately searching for Droll in the split second she had to level out. She spotted him after a second, but had no time to do anything but snap her wings shut and hope that gravity could carry her out of the way before his strike. She seemed to float still in mid-air before finally starting to plummet, but Droll's quick attack got to her first.

(Camilla and Alistair, because Megan, Frill and Tanis are occupied in the fight already) Camilla attacked first, with Alistair seconds behind. Both had fought together before against rogues, but especially in mock battles, and knew each other's tactics well. As soon as Otulissa began to flip herself, Camilla lunged, claws outstretched. But instead of striking, she pulled up at the last minute and her claws barely grazed the tips of Otulissa's ears. In the confusion of the fake attack, Alistair swooped down from behind, overtop of the heads of the other Caronian warriors, underneath Camilla and struck hard and fast against Otulissa, throwing her over forwards. At the same time as Alistair's attack, Camilla continued onwards and crashed nearly head first into Finny and Tisep, sending all three of them tumbling backwards in a knot of wings and claws.

Jasper and Maggie fell quickly in a writhing, thrashing ball of flailing claws and snapping jaws. (Ooh, that rhymed! lol) Jasper had caught Maggie completely off guard and stunned her initially, but he had underestimated the stocky dragoness's strength and wasn't prepared for the fight she could put up. The two rolled over and over, each fighting to get ahold of the other. The ground was coming up quickly but they held each other so tightly that niether could break away to unfurl their wings and stop the free fall. Only a few seconds after the attack, both warriors disappeared below the trees and were still.

Adeline was watching Silv intently for his reaction, and she could see the bloodlust on his face as clear as if the thought were her own. It was something she didn't understand, and couldn't relate to. The scent of blood intrigued her, made her curious, but it didn't make her unpredicable killers like she had seen in some others. She hoped that Silv would be able to keep it together, the last thing she needed was Camilla to find her flaunting with the enemy. Her focus was interrupted by a loud crashing noise from above and she only just had enough time to throw herself sideways and avoid being crushed by Jasper and Maggie as they hit the ground with a dull, muted thud.

Aesta crouched as low to the ground as she could, all four feet digging into the dirt. She deffinitely didn't want to get involved yet, but still wanted to know who would win.

Droll latched onto Tanis andwrapped his legs around her tight, pinning her wings and legs and at the same time digging into her body with his talons. He purposefully didn't reopen his wings, letting both of them continue to fall. He intended to release her down low and lets her slam into the ground while he spread his wings and landed nearby, ready to attack again if need be.
