The Front Porch Swing

Nice to see you bm6! Gratz on the augs! Eggs eggs eggs!
Caj yes bread must have crust and be fresh!! When I was overseas they had no sourdough. Even the imported starter was not the same Australia has horrible yeast. All the bread was fresh however when there was no fresh bread available in the us so it wassomething

Hi everyone. Sorry for not being on in so long but I have been swamped with work lately. We went to PA for a week and then everything piled up-gardening, canning, house cleaning, and I was having doctor visits every week because of my blood pressure. It seems to be under control right now, due to medicine, but I really have to be careful or I will end up on bed rest and I can't afford that! We did get a new van last week, so that is a big relief-our old one is 12 years old with 263,000 miles and it has been breaking down all summer.
Rachael and I are getting close to the end of our swaps and almost everything is laying well right now, so if we still owe you, look for it soon! I am sorry it has taken so long and we will be sending as many extras as we possibly can to help make up for it.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing better. Take care of yourself!

Oh yeah... the blue columbian brahmas.... all from Madam were hens and looks like all of mine are going to be hens. But, I will be making a trip to SC next month to pick up a show light brahma roo from one of the brahma club officers. It should improve the line and colors.

I hatched 5 of the 6 eggs from madam choco orps. All 5 are black so therefor boys. Anyone need a good black boy, lol? I'm gonna be overrun in Roos! The one that made it to lockdown and didn't hatched was black also. I'm hoping the other choc orp eggs I've got hatch out mostly pullets! I've got 5 of 9 of them that made it through the first week of incubation. I'm the roo hatching master this year!
