Glad you are home safe.
I was up that way a couple of weeks ago. I have relatives that live in WV, and I used to live there 20-odd years ago. My sisters get together every year in October for our graveyard maintenance. I'll be up there again for that.
Your last picture reminds me of the back roads that go out around the ridge at Tioga. Or, the OLD us rt19 before they put in the New River Bridge.

I usually start my seeds indoors in March. I can't wait to get started, this has been a long, cold, snow filled winter. I am so ready for spring!

Well, folks, I have got to get rid of some of my girls. I got 20 eggs yesterday!

Would it surprise anyone if I told you I made pickled eggs and deviled eggs today??

You can hard boil or scramble your extra eggs and give them back to the girls. My counters, right now, are covered with baskets of eggs! Gotta get busy.

I boiled them and fed them to the chickens, the dogs, the cats. I am thinking about making quiche for supper!

I have several that are from a Marans/Orpington cross that hatched last year, and they should have been butchered before now. However the weather has not been very cooperative in that regard. We have some warmer weather this week, so perhaps I can get them off the feed bill and into the freezer.

Or you can give those eggs to a needy family or elderly person in your community. If you ask around you can usually find someone who is having a hard time putting food on the table this winter and would love the extra nutrition.
