The Front Porch Swing

They will probably put Jenny on antibiotics because if I am not mistaken some ulcers while started by acid and stress are contributed to by infection...

Its all good sounds like they have a most excellent doctor... whew...

The irony? Jack isn't even a doctor - he's a PA.

So yesterday was a sad day. My electric fence went out several weeks ago so I had been working with the supplier to isolate the problem and get the component fixed. Yesterday morning I went out to the deck and my fence was knocked down. It had been storming HARD that morning so I was hoping it got blown over ( which it hasn't over the last year) but no, a coyote got in and killed my four girls. I had 3 little girls inside the coop in a dog crate and they were fine but sometime between when the pop door opened and when I got up something knocked down the fence and killed all the layers. :(

The replacement component for the fence will be here next week, now I'm up in the morning at the time when the coyote's came through waiting with a gun. I hear they come back for more once they find the buffet. Honestly I've never thought before I could kill one and have lost a bird here and there to a coyote, but never this blatant of an attack. There were piles of feathers. Before they just disappeared one at a time over the last year. This made me mad. This is war.

Horrible! My coop's pop door opens only into the inside run (which is not predator proof but a coyote is unlikely) but they are still at risk when I let them out of the barn into the repaired fence area around the barnyard and pond. It isn't even close to a predator proof fence, more of a "slow them down and maybe they will find some regular diet critters to eat instead" fence. My predator problem is foxes, haven't seen coyotes here but I know we have them.

Physician's assistant, I think.
Not a dumb question. We now have physician's assistants, nurse practitioners, and numerous other kinds of doctors. Some I don't realize exist until their specialty is needed.

Yep, a PA can do most everything an MD can do except surgery. They ASSIST in surgery, like opening and closing.

Howdy ya'll :frow Just wanted to drop in and say hello. Been awhile and a long winter but Summer has finally started to make an appearance ! Hope everyone survived the winter and that you're finally getting some warmer weather :)
