I bought 10 "Ameraucana" pullets on Friday. But after looking more into the breeds and compairing my girls, I am wondering if they are EEs. I called the lady I got them from today, to mention to her that I don't think she is selling what she thinks she is. Now she is telling me they are Araucanas imported from Chili. I believe this even less! Now I am hoping they are all girls.
Here are a couple of group pics...what do you think?

I think you can tell someone anything, especially if they know even less than you do. Caveat Emptor.

Look like EEs to me...and I see at least one roo in there. The one with the bright patchy coloring is most definitely a roo. Girls have a more even patterning on their feathers. Individual pictures of them would be very helpful though. =)

I think that lady needs to sit down and re-evaluate the path she's chosen in her life, because it's not a good, nor honest one.

In the future, if you are really interested in buying true purebreds, I would strongly urge you to buy from this forum. People here are overwhelmingly in the majority honest and good sellers.

Yes, you have EEs. I can see 2 that are pullets and two suspected cockerels, but you will need better pictures to be sure. Try to include front and side views of combs. Also, how old are they?

Generally, the first way to tell is by the comb. Male combs will be pinker and show three rows of peas, usually by 6 weeks. There are also certain feather patterns that are always female (top pic, very front, facing right, is typical girl).

Even if they aren't what you were expecting, EEs are great and have a lot of fans on this site.

They are supposed to be 6-8 weeks, with a couple of them (the bluish colored ones) being 4-6 weeks. I will try and get some better pics after it cools down a little bit later, don't want to stress them out too much during the heat of the day.
When I was picking them out, the lady said that the ones that were still fuzzy (at the same age) were most likely males. So I tried to pick ones that were already feathered.
