The Great Egg Shipping Experiment!

I just received guinea hatching eggs from Country Hatchery and they were packed in a live bird box. They were clearly marked as eggs. I don't have much luck determining detached air cells in guinea but to the best of my ability, it appears as if there is only one egg with a detached air cell. The eggs will go into the incubator later today as I just received them at 7 AM MDT this morning.

Nice!

Did you pay for express shipping?

Yes I did. I have had a lot of problems with USPS delivering Priority Mail in a timely fashion. I have followed the tracking as some packages were sent on side trips, some packages were just held in a specific P.O,. and also as they locally shipped packages back and forth between the main P.O. and the local P.O.

I know that I will never buy hatching eggs that have to ship through the Birmingham. AL P.O. again.

I have no idea why I feel the need to defend our region's USPS, but I do.

All of the eggs that I have shipped have gone through that hub and have been (mostly) successfully hatched. There were shipments to California, Montana, Maine, and Texas. Some even took a week to 10 days (my noob fault, sent Parcel Post.)

I am sorry that you had bad luck with yours, but don't discount all of us Alabama breeders because of it. I am willing to send you some eggs, if you are willing to hatch them and report here on the outcome. This was the same deal that Ron and I made when this thread was first started.

Game?
