Government employees complaining about entitlements for the private sector are the biggest hypocrites of all.

Perhaps Chickens latest role was watching shrimp run on the treadmill... at the expense of nearly half million tax payer dollars.
 
Another reason legislation shouldn't give employers full access to medical records (to make sure the women aren't using birth control supplied by the insurance company) is that it probably won't stop there. I can imagine employers will start eliminating employees based on medical conditions such as diabetes and heart trouble because they "don't want to pay for it!"

Dems 51/100 in Senate. Currently requiring 2/3 majority for passage of anything...so 66 votes.

Dems in House 193/435.

The House has a clear Republican majority, and the Senate has an effective majority due to the rules requiring passage. That is, the dems don't have super-majority of 66 that is currently required for most bills to pass.

So it really depends on what you consider "congress". One house is republic an, one house is democratic.
