The Health Care Law.

That is why you get health insurance. I am not forcing you to get insurance but you can so you can have a safety net in case you have to go to the ER.

I have been in the ER twice in the last year. Several tests were done including some heart test thing and by the time it was done I had to pay 200 dollars both times. That is why I CHOOSE to have health insurance.

A real ER visit without ambulance costs around $4000-$6000 (an ambulance ride is another $2000-4000.)

Oh and nice try, but I am not asking people to pay for auto insurance to provide me healthcare, I want them to pay auto insurance to compensate me for damages. Damages might include loss of property or injury. If I want healthcare coverage, I agree I need health insurance, but if I am minding my own business and some irresponsible party crashes into me, they should pay for my damages, and damages might include my injuries.

Well. hemet, dennis, when I consider politics seldom do I consider the well-being of the top 10%. I assume they are fine. What I worry about are the families that live paycheck-to-paycheck. If you are only concerned with the top 10% then, by all means, vote republican. Always vote for whoever bests suits you, I won't fault you for that.

Obviously voting democrat did not help the poor. Lets force the poor (who can not afford health insurance) to buy insurance and if they don't we can tax them! That is America.

What is a "real" ER visit from a none real ER visit? Ambulance rides are optional and i think insurance doesn't even cover it. My ER visits both times were just shy of $2000. Which is why I chose to have insurance so I only have to pay about 10% of the cost.

A helicopter ride from an accident scene is about $15,000.

I think this is Republican propaganda Matthew. It is true that some will have a new bill due to the health insurance mandate, but many in that group WANT health insurance and have been unable to purchase it. The mandate includes provisions to help those who might struggle financially with the law.

I'm not sure you can say voting democrat didn't help the poor. I don't blame our former president, GWB, for all of our problems because I know there is a congress that is just as, or more, powerful than the president. I think this will be the end of the avenue between you and I because any type of understanding or common ground is impossible. Take it from your own comments:

This comment basically summed it up for me. You miss the point completely. We probably won't ever agree and further arguments are futile. At least with old man Royd we can agree sometimes

I have agreed several times with you on political views, but it seems that me and you do not agree on being forced to buy health insurance.

There was no republican propaganda about being taxed if you do not buy health insurance. Also I got that from CNN.
