Last I checked in to it, making over $250 a month cut you off of disability an anything under that was prorated... I have heard its not that way now but dont know.
I don't know what the actual amount is, but there is a cap on earnings... I think my friend says he cannot own more than $2000 in money and assets if he expects to get disability or something like that. So basically he can't make any money, because he could never earn what it costs for his care (completely dependent on physical care from a nurse or caretaker) even if he did work, (I use the term work loosely, he couls possibly do some part time pc work from home, stuff like that) so he has to have disability services and income. Ridiculous, if he could earn a reasonable amount, he might be able to at least support himself enough to pay bills and possibly housing, leaving disability only to cover care/medical. That would reduce the burdon on government, but of course we can't do anything that makes sense. lol
