As a military family, all this says to me is "here's one less reason to stay until retirement". Take away military benefits of 20 years of service and you'll lose your all volunteer military. Allowing women to attempt the Ranger tab now...what's next? Will my daughter have to sign up for the draft because of "women's rights". Yikes! Not sure who I'm voting for in the next election but I'm positive it won't be Obama!

To be serious, Royd, when I see people like you going on about the birth certificate, citing things that have never been verified, it does nothing but re-assure me that my viewpoints are correct. Most all of the republican party has abandoned the "birther" issue... but the die-hard oldies won't... you. I sincerely believe your level of desperation does nothing but convince independents that the left are more sane. You will read this and be positive you are right and I am wrong.. but the numbers will disagree.

Seriously, Royd, you are an old republican from Florida and I'm a young democrat from Oregon. I don't think we will ever see eye to eye and arguing about it will produce nothing but one-sided opinions... on both sides. I have tried to stay out of this debate because I'm not even certain which side of it I want to take.. but I don't see any benefit to continue arguing. One of us is bound to get infraction points. But, as one point of serious advice, focusing on myths really hurts your cause... there's a lot of crap Obama has done that is stupid, this coming from a supporter, to focus on the what-ifs and maybes is silly. Focus on what you have evidence of.

I really don't understand how letting your daughter try to be a ranger is the same thing as drafting her against her will. Nobody understands because this entire comment was nonsense.

Yeah, in the context of our usual banter, i think cupman and royd are having lots of fun razzing each other. Its the same as what usually goes on between them and Royd gives it back as good as he gets, dont worry!

The fact that women are not required to sign up for the draft is sexist against males. Either everyone signs up for the draft or no one signs up for the draft. And yes I would say that having to sign up for the draft is part of a Woman's right.

I do not care what you think about me. I didn't see your repsonse to my post before I posted about your hateful comments about Royd. Yes, I read the very first post he began this thread with, but I did not read through 42 pages before posting my personal opinion on providing socialized healthcare to the American people.

You were hateful and nasty, period. I feel sorry for you, honestly!

I'm not usually one to respond to angry posts, but here's to my first!

You admit that you are young....Let's say that you decide to start a business and need to hire a good manager. He gives you a paper saying that he's the smartest manager in the world, and you say, let me see your college transcripts and he says, Sorry, they are really none of your business, You just have to take my word on it. Are you going to hire him on current proof that he's the smartest manager in the world?
