Yes, that does appear to be a cockerel. But I have been fooled before, you will know for sure I the next two weeks.
He looks a little under feed:)
Just kidding.

I think that is the one that ate the number 11 egg in the incubator!

They are very big eaters. They are getting King Feed Freedom Non GMO Non Soy Non Corn Starter\grower. It has 20% protein. I also give them free choice ultra kibble for chicks each morning. That has animal protein in it.

It will be exciting to get them to the Egg Farm this year and get them breeding!

It appears to be a cockerel to me too, but I have been fooled before. I had one I swore was a cockerel and it turned out to be a pullet. My HRIR don't seem to develop their tails as fast as other breeds do.

This is one I hatched from you Ron at 4 weeks old:

I think this is a cockerel. The tail feathers are short and he was perching on the side of the Brooder acting cockish.

The color looks good to me. It also amazes me how quickly they get the Brick shape.

Even though he is just a baby, already has that regal look of HRIR. He is quite a handsome boy, Ron!
