These are bantams from a friend who got a trio from me last year. They breed true he kept four males two better than ther father. He had eight great females and he kept four and sent me four plus the mother back to me.
Notice the uniform type of the females. What a surprise as the male below my name was the reason.
Your large fowl male you posted has fantastic color. I wonder if the reds from the M hatchery has color like this. If they dont have color like this guy they aint a Rhode Island Red Standard Breed Large Fowl. What is his back ground or what strain is he from.?
You did a great job rasing him he has a great finish and top line. bob

I think they are from Pine Grove (from reading this thread) the reds from M hatchery are so orange looking and mine have so much black on their feathers.
My wife just walked by my lap top computer and said those are nice Reds where did they come from. I said they use to live years ago in the back third acre. Wonderfull job they sure look like my old birds from the past. What great color. Thank you for posting these pictures and I hope you hatch many more like them next year. bob
Got onto a European web site for poultry and one thing led to another and found this site. Little late to tell where it was but found some other sites for other breeds as well. Look at the color on these birds. bob
