The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Take laid completely flat on the ground, facing up towards the ceiling of the cave. It was completely silent as the others nodded off to sleep, which was something he should do as well, but he stayed awake to stare up at the tiny yellow glowing creatures that crawled about above them. They weren’t incredibly bright, but they slithered around with their bilaterally symmetrical bodies that seemed to lack any limbs. His hand drifted off to the side, searching for a pebble or two to knock one of them off. When he did, a worm fell and landed with an echoed ‘splat’ which sounded gross, but all Take did was give an amused murmur to himself.

Fred breathed a sigh of relief hugging his knees tight against his chest as the thought of what could be roaming the night raced through his head. A thought struck him, “did anyone see any rivers?” He asked suddenly. All rivers that were flowing must be connected somehow so therefore if they could follow the river it should get them back to possibly where the group where.

Noah looked up. “Yep,” he yawned. “I saw one in a valley. I’m thirsty now.” He was reminded of his thirst.

Kevin smiled, glancing at her out of corner of his eye. “No, no, I just need to touch up on my English classes. Your jokes are fine.” He said.
He adjusted his gun and birds, and started climbing the mountain. It wasn’t hard, and he actually found it fun, had it not been so muddy. Once they reached the cave, Kevin pulled his gun out, seeing the large dragon. Unlike the ones in the barn, he doubted anyone here could convince it to let them go.
He cursed in Russian as Lilith ran towards the dragon, and not away. He followed closely by her side, grimacing. If she was going to get eaten, he refused to just stand back and watch.
“You okay?” Kevin asked, yanking Lilith to her feet. His eyes scanned the faces, locking on to Kylan and Aria. They weren’t the farthest away, but they certainly weren’t the closest. “Alright, c’mon. We need to get out of here, I can’t shoot her,” Kevin said backing up, Lilith’s arm still in his hand.
Lilith winced, stumbling a bit at his rough actions. "I'm not worried about me." She rasped over the rain, unsure if he'd even be able to hear her. She didn't like his holding her arm and yanking her around, but she subdued her uncomfortableness and began to think, eyeing the dragon with uncertainty. She felt her powers stir, but she didn't have time to act before she saw Eve snap her hands over her ears, and got an inclining as to what she was about to do. She jerked her arm away from Kevin harshly, covering her ears and squinting at the Russian. "Cover your ears, now! It'll be okay, just trust me!"
She worried for Kylan, Aria, and Tru, but knew she didn't have much choice but to wait and see.
When the girl spoke soft, inaudible words, and the beast fell, Lilith jumped back, giving a surprised gasp. Her hands fell to her sides, and she snapped out her immediate fears. "Is everyone okay?" She could see several people gathering around a small body, but she didn't care after she noticed it was the cat, too preoccupied with the idea of a human being hurt.
She turned to Kevin, worry in her eyes.
“Where’s Kevin?” Aria asked “I can get us up ahead without anyone getting hurt”.
"I don't know!" Kylan said, shivering. "I... I don't know where everyone is. They keep moving around! God, help us." He whispered, turning in a complete circle. He caught sight of Lilith and Kevin behind them. "There!" He called, but noticed Lilith snapped her hands up.
Eve turned hearing her name. She ran, back to the cave. She edged her way inside hearing the shouts of fear and the voices over the roars. Eve blinked at the scene in front of her, Korim and cougar dude were being weighed by a huge dragon and a cougar and a girl with a long plait were standing at it’s feet. How was she meant to make sure they couldn’t hear her like this? She covered her ears hoping they would take the hint “put them down”
He whirled back around, and automatically saw Eve covering her ears also. By now, Lilith had told him of the other black haired girl's powers, and he wasted no time clasping his hands onto Aria's and shoving them over her ears before covering his own.
When the giant fell and released Korim and Carson, he grabbed Aria by the shoulders and pulled her back, careful to keep her safe. He looked down at her first before checking on the others, trusting them to have protected themselves. "You okay?"

“Fine” she shivered, now the adrenaline was gone she was back to being cold. “You?” Aria asked

Kevin frowned, looking Lilith with concern. He knew her friend was potentially in danger, and didn’t blame her for running towards him. Still, there was nothing she could do if she was eaten.
His frown deepened, not quite catching what she said. “Cover my-?” He cut off, understanding what she was saying when everyone started to cover their ears. He didn’t have time to worry about his birds, or even think about them for that matter, before the monster collapsed, shaking the ground. He carefully removed his hands, looking around. He could only assume it was Eve that did that.
It didn’t take long for him to realize something was wrong. He had been around animals, especially chickens, his entire life, so when suddenly they stopped chirping it hit him like punch in the gut. “Uh... Mama?” Kevin said cautiously, his pulse thumping like a hammer.
He knelt down, pulling the baby sling over his chest and onto the ground. He sucked in a breath, carefully reaching out to touch the mother hen. “Mama?” He repeated, this time slightly more urgent. No.
His hand turned green, pressing into her side. She was alive, but only barely. He scooped as many baby chicks in one hand as possible, touching Mama with his other. He needed to heal them, but didn’t have the time to heal them all separately.
Closing his eyes, Kevin’s hand glowed brighter. After only a minute, Mama raised her head, and loud peeping came from the chicks. He smiled, leaning backwards and pulling the carrier closer to his chest, relief washing over him. If Eve was truly the one that did this, she was going very high up on his dislike list.
That’s when it occurred to him. If a few chickens were affected, then what about a dog?
“Your dog, Tru. Where’s Tru?” Kevin asked, looking up at Lilith.

Blair sat silently against the wall, watching Emma sleep beside her. She had done her best to clean the wounds, thankful when there was no scent or sign of infection. She was still worried, though, for Emma was a child and very much human. Humans seemed so very fragile to her, a werewolf who's bones broke and reshaped every month into a feral creature, and wounds healed much faster then a human. But I got her back. She'll be fine.
Carefully, she got up, making her way across the cave. The quiet crunching of pebbles and dirt beneath her shoes sounded like it would wake everyone in the cave in a heartbeat, but no one stirred. In the darkness, she saw Take's form on the ground, and carefully she sat down next to him. She was surprised to find that he was awake, his heart rate and breathing too fast for him to be sleeping. "Why are you still up?" She whispered, laying on her side to face him.

Take heard footsteps coming in his direction, but didn't acknowledge her arrival as he kept chucking stones up at the grotesque glowing worms on the ceiling out of boredom. When he finally ran out of decent sized stones in his proximity, he turned his head towards her. He looked at her face for some time before replying "I dunno.." in his usual speaking tone. "Why are you? Is Emma all good?" he asked, scratching his temple. Oddly enough, he did feel like sleeping, but at the same time he didn't for whatever reason.

(Is a dragon not an animal? Idk. It only made sense that Rylie’s ears wouldn’t be covered but I also didn’t want him to die.)
Rylie stood up unsteadily, his ears flattened against his head, staring at Eve fearfully.
“I guess I didn’t think about the animals,” Cam said.
“Still, it’s all the better that Eve spoke when she did. If she didn’t, more than just Rylie could’ve gotten hurt,” Kyle pointed out. He nodded at her. “You did good, and possibly saved a lot of lives. I’m glad you’re on our... team.” Team? Could it be called that? Kyle couldn’t say, it hadn’t been said before.
Korim huffed, spitting rainwater onto the ground at his feet. “Should we get into the cave? I’m cold and wet. Now it is free for the taking.”
Cam shivered and nodded.
Charlie jogged over to the group, glancing uneasily at the dead dragon the whole way. “Hey, is everyone all right?” He asked when he was finally within earshot. He had intentionally slowed down and lagged behind the others for a while, and, lost in his own thoughts, had failed to notice that everyone was so far ahead of him until he heard some distant, very un-Earth-like snarling. The sight of the dragon, laying motionless in a scaly mound, had frightened him even more than its voice.

(If Charlie was with the group he definitely would have been killed by Eve since he’s pretty oblivious XD)
