The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kevin placed the squirming chick in Kipp’s hands, guiding his hands in place as he spoke. “Left hand supports his feet, your right hand goes over his back, securing his wings,” he instructed. “See? It’s easy!” He grinned, pulling his own hands away.
He tensed staring wide eyed at his hands. He could feel it's feet moving on his hand, and the warm body wiggling and trying to shove its head through the gaps in his fingers. He tipped his head to look though at the black fluff ball. It was so cool that he was holding a tiny living thing between his hands, and also, scary. He was afraid he might hurt it, it was so small it'd be easy to accidentally do something wrong.

Aria picked up her bowl spotting Kevin with Kipp and she decided to go sit with them. She was a little lonely and needed some company. “Hey guys” she sat down next to them “how are you both?”
"Kevin let me hold one of his chicks." Kipp said enthralled with the tiny baby that had chosen to doze off to sleep in the dark cave of his hands.

“Aww it’s so cute” she smiled at both of them. She had really missed talking to people just because she could. Not because she had to or because she’d look dumb if she didn’t.

“Ari!” Kevin exclaimed, his face lighting up as he looked at his friend. Without hesitation, he scooped out a beige chick with dark brown chipmunk markings and handed it to Aria, repeating the same instructions he told Kipp.
“Here, you can hold her,” Kevin said, grinning excitedly. He glanced at Kipp, holding in a laugh as he saw his awed, yet fearful, expression.

She took the chick grinning from ear to ear, she made sure that she was careful with it. “It’s so soft” she exclaimed

Korim calmly sipped his stew. It was far more tolerable when taken in little sips. Still, he wished for tambree milk, and brightened when he saw a milk stand set cleverly next to the stand that sold the spicy soup. When he approached he saw it was run by a young man that looked quite a lot like the lady with the soup. The cups of milk were pretty overpriced. Probably a little brother capitalizing off of his sister’s success.
He bought a cup for himself and Take, handed the cup to Take, and went back to his soup.
Take eyed the cup of white liquid curiously and began sniffing it. “Is this milk or something?” he asked before taking a sip of the drink. It tasted inherently sweet and clean, and after he smacked his lips a few times, there was no overpowering aftertaste. It certainly didn’t taste like any milk he ever had. Almost immediately it started to soothe his burning face and throat. He drank a little at a time as he watched the rest of the group continue to eat and interact with one another.

Kipp grinned proudly, as though he had any control over the chicks cuteness.

Kipp tried to suppress a jump at Kevin suddenly yelling her name, checking to make sure the chick was ok, and slightly disappointed to see that Aria's chick was cuter than his. But it didn't matter, he'd never held a baby anything before.

"Do they have names?" He asked, trying to see how many more he had hidden inside the sling, without getting any closer to him.

Kevin muttered a quick apology for scaring Kipp, before turning back to Aria and nodding excitedly. “She is, isn’t she?” He asked rhetorically.
He looked at Kipp, opening his bag wider so he could see the rest of the birds. “Mama does, but the chicks don’t,” Kevin said, patting Mama’s back and then pulling out a fluffy white chick. “Although after all of this, I think they deserve names.”

“Yeah they are adorable they definitely need names”

Kipp didn't know how to describe the sound Mama made besides a purr. He had no idea a chicken could make that sound. She seemed happy and content, if a little annoyed that Kevin kept stealing her babies.

He slowly pulled his hands apart so he could see the little chick he was holding, gently rubbing a finger on it's fuzzy head. The chick of course woke up with the light, and attempted to force it's way out of his hands to freedom.

"Uhh, are they boys or girls?" He asked trying to keep it contained, and not really knowing what to do now that it had woken up.

Blair was getting fed up with searching for the child by herself. She spun, making her way back towards the group, but kept a look out for Alex. A movement out of the corner of her eye made her pause. There was no person walking, but she heard the distinct settling of footsteps on crunchy grass, and saw the grass deflate. Under what looked like two pairs of feet.
She crept closer, raising a brow. Didn't the Charlie kid turn invisible? "Charlie?"
The invisible person who was Charlie jumped into the air. “Oh, hey- Blair!” He said, excited that he had found someone from the group and she didn’t appear captured, skewered, or dead in general. He practically popped into existence and grinned at her, nudging Alex so he didn’t wander away. “I slipped away when those guys with spears showed up.” He blurted out, his words quick with relief.
Charlie tried to peer behind Blair, but only saw more Borealians(?) “Where’s everyone else?”
