Silly question are you guys have a unusual cold spring? I don’t remember it being this cold, this late in the year when we lived in NH. Ya I know different geography, but similar parallels on the map.
Here it is unusually wet but fairly normal temperatures (for us) following a very mild (temperature) winter.

I normally begin watering on April1. It is already the 18th and I still have not started watering.

Here the temperatures are a tad above normal. We will hit 60+ today.

We are dryer than normal.

It would be hard to compare our temperatures in Minnesota because of the weather the westerlies bring us from the north to NH.

Just like it would be hard to compare R2elk’s climate to NH because of his altitude and the chinooks.

Here it is usually dry as a bone on April 1.

We are not done with the snow. We normally get at least one substantial snowstorm in May.

We occasionally get walloped the first 10 days of May, but by May first most meaningful snow is gone.

We are normally free of freezing temps around the 1st of June.

We are often frost free by the beginning of the last week of May. Last year we had killer frosts on June 9 & 10. On August 19, 2016, we had a killer frost.

But these are not what is normal. The killer hail storm last August that wiped out my garden was also not normal.

Wwweelll ... I just figured a dux bit it off so I wasn't gonna say nothin.
I did however notice you needs to clean under your fingernails. 😂
I temporarily have clean fingernails. I do smell like Clorox though. Another uninvited guest has taken up permanent residence as part of my soil improvement project.

I think last week of May is more normal, I should have said “ we don’t consider ourselves frost free until June 1st”.
