Fishing North Dakota. Today

anyone get any fishing in this year? hoping to go for some carp this year.

We were fishing for bluegill and catfish during our LBL trip last week and saw several massive Carp. The bay where we were camped was full of carp and gar.

We finally took the fish baskets out and mr muddy put a couple of bluegill in but he forgot to tie the top so inadvertently catch and release

We fought the heat, wind and thunderstorms but brought home a few fish. Only one monster and several smaller ones.

We only had two pike strikes the entire trip, which is unusual. We have rented a cabin for next year..

Done loads of carp fishing so far this year.
Great fun.
I didn't realize you had carp over in Canada

we have a fair amount of carp in Canada, common carp which is not native here.
lots of people fish and bow fish for them.

I booked a trip to fish in the Gulf of Mexico, hopefully I'll have some nice pics. It's for the 26 of July, prayers that it doesn't rain and the weather is good. I am excited!!

Gar can make for a great fight, lots of fun. You can catch them on a hook or a wire noose. Either way it's lots of fun.

Looking at lodging, don't want to get up at midnight to get ready to drive to Venice. Then spend the day on a boat 25+ miles out into the gulf. Hope to have some great pictures to show y'all.

Sorry, I know I am just chattering away, I am just so excited, it's been almost twenty years since my last trip out there. (I have fished in the last 20 years, just not that far out in the gulf)

Some guys unravel a piece of nylon rope and have one end tied in a knot on a fishing line, twitch it and it looks like a fish swimming around. When they bite it the threads get tangled in their teeth.
