Everyone meet Sir Edmond. He is my very first Jubilee Orp. He is right at 4 months old. I have blue and black UK orps but was very suprised when I opened the shipping box at his size. I wasnt expecting him to b as big as he was for his age. He weighs 7lbs and 1 ounce already. He had sticky watermelon juice all over him from the trip and I had to give him a warm bath. It was dark by the time he was fully dry so I brought him into a spare bedroom and threw an old blanket down for pics. He was origionally purchased as a chick from Greenfire Farms and was an extra roo. He is so friendly and beautiful and we r very excited to have him here at the farm. We plan to keep him as a pet and to one day find a lady Jubilee for him.

Thank u so much Kelly! U were truly a pleasure to work with on this transaction and we r very pleased with him. I gotta say your pictures dont do them justice on size and doubt mine will either.

If anyone else would like to get one she still has one last Jubilee roo for sale and I will attach the link below so u can check out Kelly's add for him. I live in KY and Sir Edmond just arrived yesterday from Cali. He was just fine and Kelly knows what she is doing on shipping live birds.

I let the UK babies out to play while I fed this morning and they have a blast. Unfortunately they are too quick for me to get them in action with a digital camera.......So I had to get them while they were calm

"Mr. Darcy" has begun to crow. I love the sound of his voice but I'm a city girl.
I've been taking him into the garage at night so he doesn't bother the neighbors in the morning with his melodic deep, throaty crow. Once he rejoins the flock, he only crows 3 or 4 times. I did discover this morning however, if another group of birds is being given treats and he feels he's being denied, that he will crow in protest. It was kind of funny.

When I carry him into the garage at night, he's unhappy about being snatched from the girls out of the darkness but settles easily with a little petting and sweet talk.
He is just about 4 1/2 months. Protective of "his girls" but never been aggressive, although one day he did challenge my Pomeranian mix just for fun. The Pom took off in a hurry. When he's been challenged by my other girls in the LF flock, he's typically the one to back down.

I'm quite fond of him.

I'll need to rehome him soon. I'm offering him to WA BYCer's before I offer him to strangers...

I'd like to see how he progresses.
I got him and his girls from RedReiner when they were 1 week old chicks.

If you can give Mr. Darcy a new home, please PM me if you live close in or close to Pierce County -

Mr. Darcy, a little suspicious...

Keeping himself between me and "his girls"

Feeling a little less threatened
