The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I spoke w GreenFire Farm about the problem I had w my Chocolate Orp roo it turns out there not barring but the last of his chick fuzz growing out, they said once he grow out his adult feathers the white would no longer be present, pew I was starting to worry.

I want to continue to improve and keep working on this beautiful chocolate color. Can anyone share the genetics about the chocolate color or point me the way where I can find this info. Many thanks!

It's so quite on this thread, is everyone hibernating early?

Just busy. Did take a few pics yesterday afternoon cause I was out and the weather was so nice and cool near dusk.
Waiting for this girl to start laying

As you can see we are still having to cut grass even though the Pecans are falling.

Got a question. Any of you that keep blues notice them losing their lacing before molt? My blue just had a really heavy molt and I didn't even realize it till I saw the new feathers starting to come in, that she'd lost her lacing in the sun. They're out all the time, only locked in a coop during the night. The new feathers are beautiful and really show what the sun has done to the old ones.
