We all want to see more pictures of your girls! They ARE the ones who do all the work, you know! That big blue girl is wonderful. What other girls are not getting their fair share of photos??? Every boy has a mother too, and we want to see them. Is this a man thing? An inquiring mind needs to know........

A pictorial pedigree is a wonderful thing for you, and for the future of the breed. Think about that.

Vickie I had lost JR's mother about 6 months ago due to egg laying problems, but the pullet I posted a pic of with JR is that hens offspring to, so she was thoroughgoing some very nice chick along with Elvis, With working 12 hours a day 6-7 days a week its kinda hard to get pic. But I will try. & yes I am showing on the 24Th of this month this is my first show so all the good luck wishes would be appreciated.

Thanks Roger. I'm starting to second guess myself. I'll wait to see what others think. Where am I? I'm in S GA at the moment. Leaving for the Thanksgiving soon.

I have a question about feathering... My blue pullet that's about 12 weeks old, her feathers look odd, or frayed to me... Here is a picture of her, and then a pick of one of my blacks. The black looks like it has nice rounded tips on the feathers. Am I seeing the fraying on the blue because of her color? Is it an issue? I worried when her clutch was coming up that the Alpha Roo was keeping them away from the feeder. Any ideas? BTW, I'm seeing this on none of my other birds.

Is this blue P. sleeping on the ground with others? Maybe trying to sleep UNDER them? That could cause the fraying of those feather ends. Have you checked her for mites and lice? If she has none, I'd put her on some Calf Manna. It will improve feather quality.

I'm going out every night at dark to make sure that my 8 EBOs, who are now 9+- weeks old, are up on their 6" tall roosts.I'm determined that they WILL learn to roost up off the floor . 5 of them have finally got it, but the other 3 who are a few weeks, younger haven't. They would sleep in a pile. Their dad, Monty, still waits for me to put him up on the higher roost with the dominant pullets.Lifting him up every night saves me health spa fees.Great for the arms, bad for the back. The big clown!
