The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Here are a couple of photos of my 4th generation English Lavender Hens that only get better and bigger and fluffier with age.....they are beautiful eye candy
!
this is my goal lavender...I have some fairly good lavender orps that are more of the american type but they are small part english...I was trying to figure out what to breed to them..I now I should breed blacks to them for the best result but I have seen black that shine blue, green, purple, and then there are the dull/matte blacks so I was trying to figure out which to use to keep from getting the red/gold leakage??? (which I am very lucky and my current lavs do not have any leakage!!)

Finally !!! No rain. The Buffs out really enjoying the orchard today. The Hydrangeas have loved all the rain. Lots more blooms coming. There is bird netting on those bushes that they have grown up through.Good hiding places with the lines overhead. 2 - 3 month old Monty babies with 3 -8 week old Max babies. Mrs. Pumphry is still molting.... Monty keeping an eye on everything
These buffs are amazing! We had a rough night, tornado warnings in our area, high winds. LGD took cover in the garage, we lost quite a few birds, unfortunately my best English Orp hen. She had the darkest eye and most beautiful head I've ever seen. Heartbreaking.

Yea they are good size chicks, Where are yours ?

this is Splash right:? its mostly yellow, none of my blues ever have yellow except on face and throat.

1000
