The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

The babies look great redreinier! that first little chunk is going to be a classic! love to see pics of the later on

thanks everyone , I am very pleased with this batch so far, going to let them just grow, I try not to keep the boys, and I have not hatched anything in two years so this time I will keep all them for a while and see who turns out the type I like and who does not, I hope that black pullet remains a black pullet lol she is a keeper for sure if she does., with the addition of Rogers babies I think I might end up with two nice pens to breed from. I also have a project in the works thanks to some really nice people from here on BYC, if that works out I will be set in Orp heaven lol

I am sure that eventually this guy is going to look awesome... But wow... Talk about an ugly stage!

im kind of speechless on that one..both cute and strange at the same time..ive seen some bare fannys on male orps but the bare legs are a new one..at this age is he getting free choice of chick feed? as they get older they dont need as much just like people ...but quite a bit in the beginning to reach full genetic potential.. the other feathers look good on this baby like you have very good quality feed...a little more something like protien might help feather those bare leggies in......different.

i am really behind. Roger, so sorry about your black girl, seems like it is, always a favorite.

Also. English names?: Margaret HATCHER is what a friend of mine named one of my black pullets

My GFF Partridge straight run group appears to have 3 boys n 3 girls! Am I lucky or what?! One of the boys seems to have a much deeper mahogany color...I will have to do my reading on Partridge so I know what I'm looking for.
