The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I'm so glad to see the kids growing up ! Love to see the other girl too !
The other girl is camera shy. Every time I try to get a photo of her she runs into the coop.

They are just HUGE now. I can't believe they ever fitted in the shipping boxes. They are getting their numbered leg bands this week though so I can try and take a photo while we are holding her.

Well it ain't been a good day here as I lost my oldest & best black hen today, She had come out of her saddle some how so I caught her & she was fine, she had been laying every day her head was chery red, feathers nice & shiny & getting around great so I put her on my knee as all ways & started to put the saddle strap around one wing & she through her head back took a big breath of air & that was it she died for no apparent reason at all, anyone ever noticed its always the best one you have that does this ?
Aww poor baby, so sorry for your loss!

Hi all! It's been quite a while since I have posted on here, but I have been following every day.
Now that the rush of springtime is over, I have a little more free time. I was able to take some photos yesterday and wanted to share some of my Silver Lace Orps. He is such a sweet boy and filling out nicely. Of course, I had to post a picture of one of his ladies that was taken a while back.

Hope y'all enjoy them this morning

Nice clean lacing on the hen.

That girl is beautiful.

Thank you all for the compliments! I just realized that out of all the photos I took, I do not have a pic of my rooster facing straight toward the camera. All of them are of him turning sideways, and this does not show his pretty laced feathers on his front. Will have to update pictures of him later when I can manage to get some more.
