The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Galanie, no new pictures of Lucky?
I should get some. Though she looks basically the same as in that picture. I wish the others would molt so I could get decent pictures of them. The country life agrees with them though. They were allowed out to "free range" with me watching them yesterday evening and went so far from the barn that I got my pistol just in case. At least when they see me going back toward the house they always follow me so it's not like I can't get them back in if I need to. But that wet grass from the rain we FINALLY got was just too full of juicy bug goodness for them to want to waste.

shes stunning Dee! if you shorten the skirt..keep the chest...they will be top birds..or maybe a bit longer leg in that case?
i personally like the skirt..there is a pic on the cover of a british mag of one that looks a lot like her fluff and all..breathtaking...i think she was last years british national federation champjon blk.... i also love a great SOP.they are a thrill to see too..

i hatched one female this year. perfect round ball..she is sop, but strange, she has very short underfluff.. i have i pic of her from a few months ago..i have to say that was the shortest underfluff i have ever seen..a breeder further upstate bought her to work into their english blacks, should be interesting..shes got shape to spare.nice green sheen,. just real short understuffin..i didnt really have a use for her. think fluff isnt a problem here..but they wanted to see if they could shorten their english birds stuffin..they will be sending me pics over the next couple years so will be fun to see what they do..
