Building a new coop and run... time for a new breed :)

I'm thinking I will go with English BBS orps for the new pen. Anyone out there selling shipped eggs by the dozen from pure English birds with nice lacing on the blues? Got the incubator out of the closet and it's time once again :)
Try either Greg Mignot at Old Orchard Farms or Heirloom Orpingtons. Ewe Crazy Farms is also recommended if you want chicks but I don't think they will ship eggs anymore.

Ewe Crazy (Bryce) does not have BBS. :) he has just about everything else though! I will have blues (eggs) around the end of April, right now have a pen of all blacks. Will be moving some around and have a pen of BBS.

Thank you :hugs .    I thought maybe you had a remedy for all the yuckieness (is that a word..... )  up around the barn to freshen it up a bit.

What I did do last year was plant a fruit tree in each run. (I got a really good deal last summer)    Now I am afraid they may have all died with this horrific winter we had :( .  I won't know till spring really comes.

I have a couple chicken tractors by some of our fruit trees and the chicks love it at harvest time (mulberry, peach and apple)  so I thought I would give everyone a fruit tree.  Now I think I might be replacing them.......I have to because I already promised them all a fruit tree  :) .

A promise is a promise. No special cure for yuckiness here.

Yep, sorry - I don't raise BBS.

My buffs LOVE pears. They will even chase squirrels out of their orchard. The only drawback is that their shirt fronts are covered in pear juice from August - October.

Hey there, I do have english bbs orps by the dozen. you can see pics on my website or Facebook page or even on here on some old ads I've posted. To be quite honest, my birds are beautiful but RedReiners lacing is better if you wanted to wait and get birds from her. Mine def have the beautiful lacing present but it's not as crisp as the pictures from hers, which are just stunning! :)
