The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Quote:
English is a type.....What characteristics the bird displays as compared to the American Standards. I like both types, but prefer the English.

Where did you get your birds? That should tell you if they're English or American type.

Good morning to you Beth !!

Yep, he's out. He finally hatched yesterday evening around 10:30 PM. The other has a nice pip in it and I just checked and I can hear him busy in that egg, so I expect he'll be out soon. Will keep you posted !!

Beth, you lucky woman! Hi Joy, I sent you an email. Whoo hoo... My times coming soon.

I need to get my Orps out and get pictures. They are getting big! I have been putting it off because of the fox issue but they need to get out in the sunshine.

I have 20 birds going to the processor Friday so hopefully this weekend when all the free ranging roos are packaged up and can't cause the young ones trouble I can snap some good ones to show and tell.

I got your e-mail Germaine and that is just fine.

I'm going to have about 10+ extra eggs this week...anybody interested in chicks?

Would love to see some photos when you get a chance !!

Beth - Out of these last two - one is light blue, the other I am not sure about yet, but it is darker. I'll be able to tell more when I take them out of the incubator and pop them into the brooder with their other 2 siblings. I'll take pictures for you later when they are all dried out and fluffy.

Buff Beauty - I'm getting ready to PM you.
