The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I just finished treating for cocidosis for all of my chicks and today my Chocolate Orpington can't stand or walk properly and is breathing heavily. She drinks and eats well there's no impacted crop or poopy butt. I just started antibiotic just incase respiratory I have no idea what's going on maybe she injured it but I have no idea how to address that.

What kind of antibiotics are you using? If panting it's most likely respiratory. Can you hear anything when it breathes? Can it not stand or does it not want to? Go to your local tractor supply or feed store and pick up some oxytetracycline and start that right away. Also some save a chick vitamins or vitamin treats also help. Do any of your other chicks show any symptoms also how old?

That other chicks are fine she's 4 weeks I'm using duramiocyn 10... She seems not to have control of her coordination

She's doing a little better she's still not able to get around but she is now eating eggs and I caught her eating chick start on her own. She still needs a little help with drinking and I'm giving vitamins for a boost with the antibiotic she's much more restful and alert rather than out of it
