Speckled Sussex I've had and liked. I think the Columbian-patterned birds are more clean and uniform, but the Jubilee is kind of all over the place in terms of pattern. And they have such a regal story behind the variety the grumpy elitist in me wants to get them, but I'm going to be ruthless if I have them. And I only want like five; a male and four hens.I admit I never went as crazy for the Jubilee as other people. Of course I also didn't care for the appearance of a Speckled Sussex either..... until we owned one. LOL
It's pretty light. Do you think it's a Blue SL or Black SL?It's all the same chick. Of course, I'm getting a strong male vibe from this one. Time will tell
Yes. One of those. It's pretty light. Do you think it's a Blue SL or Black SL?
That is going to drive me crazy. lolSometimes it takes a week or 4 months.
Yes, it can be difficult to tell. Sometimes it can also happen with dark blues. The chick may look black at hatch and then the feathers get an ombre effect as they grow longer. That is going to drive me crazy. lol
I don't think it's ever gonna stop raining at this point, Texas is a complete turd floater right nowSo cute. If this rain would stop I could get some clean eggs to set. But it is miserable right now.
It's terrible. I push mowed about half the yard that could be done Friday and Saturday. And then I had the lawn guy come out yesterday because it was dry enough he could get most of it. It started pouring as soon as he got on the mower.I don't think it's ever gonna stop raining at this point, Texas is a complete turd floater right now![]()
