The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I am getting loads of eggs. I have set over three doz a week for a month and now have 8 chicks. I sold four. I have more to hatch on Monday. I just got my pens separted like i want them. Hopefully they will give me fertile eggs and not just eggs. Those boys haven't got it down yet.

I did hatch a pretty black chick yesterday out of one of my pretty black hens. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Yeah! Good for you Katy! I have one blue pullet and one black pullet who are both now "darker pink" in their comb/wattles... nowhere near red, so I think it'll be awhile longer before I get any eggs. I can't wait though!

Here's today's pictures.

Edmund.

Edmund again, he's my favorite for sure.

A little size comparison, this is Edmund next to a 5 gallon waterer. You can also see where my Ameraucana roo pecked at his comb, I was so mad.

My blue cockerel, what do y'all think? I'm always on the fence about how to feel about him.

Oh , Jeremy! They are so gorgeous! Nigel's filled out a LOT! I love Alice. You know... if Alice ever feels like taking a trip to East Tennessee... They say travel is good for character development...

Nigel is Joy's Splash boy, though he and Edmund are only about 3 weeks apart in age.

Katy, thank you!

I think they are all very pretty, Now on the boys their both have different traits I like. I lik the blues tail better than edmund, I like Edmunds chest better. How old are they now? Seems like you blue has nice color too. Use them both for sure
