Are you a member of the UOC? They will send you a breeders list if you are. I don't know anyone with UK looking buffs just American type. If you go to Crossroads your sure to see a lot of LF buffs show there.

Nava - I THINK the ones at Lowry Park Zoo are the English variety - I'm waiting on a call back from them to find out for sure and to see if they will refer me to their source OR sell me eggs/chicks/chickens.

If they are not English variety, I'm lined up to buy some from Hink-jc Mountain Poultry...she has some really nice birds. (If they Lowry Park Zoo DOES have the English variety, them I'm going to get the White Orps that she has - either way, I can't lose!!).

eta - and as I remember, you live pretty close to me (relatively).

Julie - I am in love with Chester !! Can I have him back, please? LOL. Seriously - he looks really, really nice. I love his color. I love his tail !! I can't wait to see the pretty babies he makes. Thanks so much for posting the picture.

And I have exciting news - I have THREE fertile Bluebell/Hagrid eggs !!! I threw out a bunch of eggs today that weren't fertile and I set 18 more that were post-hair cut, so I'm hoping that some of those will be fertile. I have quite a few Bluebell, Blueberry, and Bluebonnet eggs, and quite a few eggs from The O's !!! I also have Minerva in with Winston, so I'm hoping to get a few more babies as gorgeous as The B's.

Kelly - Good luck on finding some nice Buffs and be sure to let us know what you learn from the zoo. I remember seeing somewhere some really nice looking buffs. They weren't English, but for American type, they were really nice. I'll try to run down the website. I don't think it was anybody here on BYC.

I finally got some new pictures of my birds today...I'm working on getting them loaded and then I'll post them. The younger birds from Joy didn't want to cooperate so maybe I can get pictures of those pullets tomorrow.
