Daphne - The pictures are great ! Thanks so much for sharing. I think both of your boys look like they are going to be really fantastic, and your black girls are so lovely.

I like a few English names with "A" - Abbott, Avery, Alastair. My favorite English "A" name, I've been saving for one of mine = Archibald. I just love it !! I love the movie "A Fish Called Wanda" and I loved John Cleese as "Archie" -hence why I love "Archibald" LOL.

Thanks, Julie and Joy.

I know what a blessing they are. If I ever forget, though, there a plenty of people to remind me. My neighbors LOVE my little flock. They come over all the time to enjoy a little chicken TV if they know they are out free ranging. They'll come over with company, too, and ask me to let them out. My next door neighbor asked if we could cut a hole in the fence so they could free range in their yard, too.

They are just so sweet. They love people and just like to hop up in a seat beside you and hang out.

Joy, I love Avery and Alastair. I love Archibald, too, but I will leave it to you. Nothing worse than a name-nabber!

The temp got up to upper 70's today and they were NOT happy. They were panting and scurrying under porches and downed trees. I really hope that it's just that they're not used to it, otherwise it's going to be a really long summer. East Tennessee is not know for it's mild summers. I'd hate to have to buy an air conditioner for the coop.

Daphne - That's cute about your neighbors wanting to cut a hole in your fence !! I guess a lot of people who don't have chickens still like to watch Chicken TV. LOL.

Feel free to use Archibald if you want - the world is big enough for 2 of them

Be prepared - you are gonna see a HUGE difference in your boys in the next couple of months ! Take pictures, or you won't believe the difference !!

It was in the low 80s here today - I hope this isn't an indication that we are going to have a bad summer. Summers here are hot and humid - we don't have A/C in the coops, but we do have fans hung up in the corners of the coops to help some.

Ours live through the summer heat. We try and have shade for every pen. You can always try Prince Albert too.

With all those pictures I had to look back, man, they are drop dead goreous Orps!

Reading from the Blue Orp post now locked, Sorry, I prefer English over Americans.
