Jeremy I can't believe he tryed to breed already. he is not even five months old yet. He is a great color and I think he will be a very nice English bird for you to breed over your gorgeous girls. I really think you should go ahead and mail me the Big breasted awesomely laced pullet in the front.

I mailed chicks today but I am very dissappointed that USPS has now decided it Can Not guarantee devlivery of Live birds overnite. They guarantee them to get there by three days but you still have to pay express mail prices. I have a few chick orders but once they are filled i am not mailing anymore day olds. They just don't want have to reimburse for not delivering on time. The lady told me they are shipping commercial airlines and the baggage comes first and if they have room for the live birds then they will ship them. I sure hope they are keeping them a place where they won't be freezing when they get up really high in the atmosphere.

Ruth pretty girls and boy. Onthespot nice male. Glad his leg healed.

Oh - I missed pictures from Ruth and Onthespot - Nice !!!

Julie - do we have an alternative to shipping USPS? Can we ship lives via FED EX or UPS?

Quote:
Joy, The postal Service had already contracted their bird shipments with Fed-Ex and that's how they fly. Not sure if UPS offers anything though.

I think it's a crock that they don't want to cover any losses other than what you paid for shipping...

They didnt say they wouldn't cover losses. I asked if they died how would that affect the Ins. she said I would have to file a claim.

What I think is a crock is that even though they won't guarantee overnight shipping (only 3 day guarantee) we still have to pay Express prices !! If they can only guarantee 3 day delivery, they should lower the price of shipping. I am going to call my PO here tomorrow (if I can remember) and see what they have to say.

Per our Post Office, they will No Longer cover any cost associated with the loss of live birds other that the actual shipping cost. Believe me I ranted when I had one two days late that they couldn't find and what would they do to reimburse me... He did make it in good health but if he hadn't they will not cover but shipping cost. And yes you have to file a claim just to get that back.
