The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Some lovely pictures of some lovely looking Orpingtons. Couldn't resist posting a pic of my lovely Orpington, Rosie.

She'd be no good for showing as she's got a funny bent toe, but is such a sweet natured thing, comes running up for food (which is funny to watch) and loves cuddles. Orpingtons are great!

I've been interested in seeing the pics of the young black Orps, as I've got some young Australorps and it's interesting to see how similar the Australorps are to the Orps.

Well, I went on a picture-taking frenzy again this afternoon, so I'm here to bore you all again with pictures. The first set will be The O's, Hagrid, Rumples, and Bluebell. The second set are the young W&C chicks, or should I say cockerels !! Oh, I also posted a couple of the molting Clementine - if you look closely you can see her beautiful new feathers coming in. Poor Winston - he just looks too pathetic yet to photograph.

These are the youngest Winston & Clementine ROOSTERS - all 4 chicks are cockerels. Also, are some photos of the Winston and Minerva chicks that hatched about the same time. The W&C chicks have orange leg bands, except for the little splash cockerel - since I only have the one splash, no need to band his leg.

This first two photos are pictures of the little broody coop that my husband has been building for me. It's taken a while because of all the other "projects" that need attention. It's almost done - gotta get the run up and windows in.

Well I am home from a trip and really enjoying looking at all these Orp Chicks.
Joy Love that next to the last photo of the black cockerel. He is a muscular little boy.

Of course Bluebell is a beauty. Love the O's and Rumples is my Fav blue boy.
They are all looking good.

I couldn't get over how all of mine changed in just five days. Wow.
Looking forward to some cooler weather. It was 95 when I got home today and looks like the 90's the rest of the week with no rain.

The birds are wonderful Joy, But I WANT the COOP. It reminds me of a Harry Potter Coop for some reason. I love, love all the angles and colors.
Really, I am drooling over it right now. Big time.

You know what Germaine - it actually is kinda from Harry Potter. I told him that I wanted a crooked little broody coop that reminded me of "The Burrow" (The Weasley's house on HP). He is going to build a little "village" of them. I told him that I wanted a "Diagon Alley." LOL

You need to go look at this thread and look at the fence he built...hubby is an artist. He worked in the movie industry for quite some time. He is very creative and has a very "off-the-wall" imagination.

Thanks BLaBauve. It's from HP.
