Did you make a decision on using them with your split boy?

The blues havent been laying yet, I will get them in there soon. Have to get a bigger pen.
 
Trisha I am looking forward to meeting you and I know what you mean. I am hoping to show a black pullet maybe there and a blue. I am hoping for a bigger turn out with Orps at Newnan this year. Sunshine Classic seems to be growing for showing them each year which is exciting.

I am so excited for the Orpington Breed in the US.

Dunno how long most will take to mature. I remember talking to Doug and he said there are some lines which grow and fill out by 7 to 8 months old and then there are those who do not stop growing till they hit a year and a half. These Blues I got from Bamma are slower growers. I remember them not looking anything like they do now when they were 8 months old. Now they look like beach balls. Some like the quickers growers to show by most State Fairs. I prefer the slower growers. They always seem to finish out larger.
