Holy Cow... just figured out I wasn't even signed in,  Joy I use IE too.. soo here goes my first test to see if I have a problem with it.  I wasn't getting notices for new posts... Soo guess one has to sign back up for each subject??

It first the notifications were "broke" at first but you should be gettign them now unless something went haywire with transferring your info.

I am getting all of mine & I use IE & have an old computer to boot. I am so glad because I am NOT really computer saavy & need to ask for help if anything goes askcew. My more husband & daughter are always bailing me out of trouble.....LOL

Good Luck Renie !!! I hope you have better luck than I do with this new confounded thing

Just out of curiousity, what operating system are you using? I am using Windows 7 with a two year old computer and it's fine in Firefox and IE both. No problems at all. Screen resolution is 1680x1050 and in firefox, I do ctrl and + or the scroll wheel if I need the lettering larger. The stuff on the right is annoying but it doesn't prevent me from reading anything. I do have a fairly nice video card also though. You'd be amazed how much difference that can make.

Hi Galanie - I have Windows XP on my home computer, and Windows 7 on my work computer. I run Google Chrome on my work computer, and I have IE and Firefox on my home computer.

I'm having LOTS of problems. Besides the slowness, all the scrolling !! And the scrolling is jerky and very slow. NOt only that, but every time I log in, make a post, and I hit "Submit" it logs me back out. No idea what that is about.

All in all, it's just too much of a hassle. I've been logging in once every day and reading, but that is probably going to be about it unless things improve.

I was having the jerky problem with XP Pro, IE8, Firefox also..........Loaded Google Chrome.....the jerky stuff went away....used Ad Block for Chrome to remove somethings....speed on anything here improved greatly......made a few tweaks under the hood..font size, font type and now its almost looks like the old BYC....I like GC enough that I uninstalled Firefox

That's great John. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I can't make changes on my work computer because it is owned by my company. I do not want to install Google Chrome on my home computer because I really dislike it. It has known issues of Shockwave continually crashing, which really creates problems and is a pain in the butt. G-mail also runs very poorly with Chrome. My Firefox and IE run great on every other website - I'm not changing just to run BYC.

I was going to guess that at least one of those computers was running XP. Your work computer could have any number of things messing up your web browsing from over zealous anti virus to who knows what. And an awful vid card to boot. I'm like you, I hate Chrome too. Love Firefox. Sorry you're still having problems :(

Well, I know what you are saying, but I have no problems with either computer with web browsing on any other site except this new BYC. I had no problems with the old BYC on either computer. However, I AM having issues with the new BYC on BOTH computers. If you read all the other complaints in that section at the top, I don't feel like it is my computer.

Yes, I hate Chrome !! I love Firefox, but hubby likes IE, so have both on our home computer.

Hi Everyone - I've been living under a rock for the past few months and haven't been on BYC. WOW - there have been some changes haven't there? Looks like there's a ton of new people and posts in these threads which is so good to see. Actually I haven't been living under a rock it's just that I did a really "stupid" thing in May. I bought 16 wild Appaloosa horses including a bunch of mares with newborn babies and which had bred again in the herd they lived in. So.....I've been super busy learning all about horses and training horses. So far I have one that I can ride and most that I can halter and lead. The 6 babies are already nearly as big as their mamas. Anyway, it's good to be back. I know my Orps aren't "imported" but I thought I'd share a few photos. My original hens came from Bama and then I added birds from three other breeders over the past year or so, including some from Alaska, and then I mixed them all together and bred my own. Sadly a stray dog got loose in the yard and killed most of my freeranging young pullets that were showing great promise. A few lucky ones managed to survive and are now in the breeder pen for safe keeping and have recently started laying eggs. Here's some of what's in the new breeder pen - which was so muddy from the monsoon's we are having now after an 8 month drought:
