The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Thanks y'all. The two splash girls are still just babies themselves. They were from my last hatch this year. I think they will be really nice once they reach full-size. Actually, except for my older hens, most of those in the pictures are about 6 months old or less.

I was going to guess that at least one of those computers was running XP. Your work computer could have any number of things messing up your web browsing from over zealous anti virus to who knows what. And an awful vid card to boot. I'm like you, I hate Chrome too. Love Firefox. Sorry you're still having problems :(

Well, I know what you are saying, but I have no problems with either computer with web browsing on any other site except this new BYC.  I had no problems with the old BYC on either computer.  However, I AM having issues with the new BYC on BOTH computers.  If you read all the other complaints in that section at the top, I don't feel like it is my computer.

Yes, I hate Chrome !!  I love Firefox, but hubby likes IE, so have both on our home computer.

Yes, I read your other stuff. Wish I had something helpful to offer about the problem and I hate that it's happening to you.

I have a computer in my office with XP, one in the house with vista. The xp computer is great with the firefox browser but is horrible if I try to use IE out there (and boy is it frustrating.....

). On the vista computer both work fine on byc. You can run 2 browsers on your computer (I do). Let hubby use IE and you use firefox for browsing on here

. I think xp is the culprit using IE .

Hope all have a wonderful day!

I'm having LOTS of problems. Besides the slowness, all the scrolling !! And the scrolling is jerky and very slow.

Joy, I just thought of something. Maybe you already know this, but I only learned it recently.... An easier way to scroll..... push down on the wheel (like you are pushing a button) on your mouse. You will get this icon on your computer. Use your cursor to scroll up or down by putting it under or over the icon thingy. Click on it to turn it off. It sure saves from using your finger to scroll so much! I also find my scrolling to be much smoother (not jerky) by using this.

Hey Kathy - You know, I get that little icon all the time, but never realized how I did it !! LOL. Thanks for telling me how. I tried it, it is easier than trying to scroll with the scroll ball manually or to try to use the side bar to scroll, but it is still really slow and jerky. I'm just so frustrated right now - and the darn thing signs me out every time I make a post !!!

I appreciate EVERYBODY here who has made suggestions to try to help - THANKS !!!

Ruth, love the pictures. I can't even imagine taking on 16 horses, that is taking on a huge project! I train horses so I know what all is involved in training and care. I sure miss the old byc but then changes have always been tough for me. Also if there is anyone out there that would like to sell me eggs, I'm looking for Pure 100% English Blacks. I've also placed a ad in the "wanted" section.

I should be selling eggs in the springtime from my flock, you'll hatch Blue, Black and Splash though.
