Beautiful!

Had to be. Look at her carriage and attitude. That's where Liam gets it from! Like them both.

There's a good possibility Liam is from Thelma. She is one of Neville's favorites, I see him covering her a lot. LOL. I just collected a bunch of eggs from the flock and gave them to broodies so I don't know for sure if he's hers, but I'm hoping so.

I do have 2 eggs from her in the incubator, 2 days in a row I literally waited outside of the nesting box until she laid... it probably would have been easier to separate her and Neville and collect eggs that way but I don't do things easy. LOL.

So 2 of her eggs and 1 egg from Elizabeth (who laid right before Thelma on the second day) are cooking away. They're my two favorite hens so I'm hoping they all hatch.

This is Elizabeth.

Julies birds are the best, Jeremy's too! Kathy's got so many great things going on.. Bills beauty buff hen, galani's birds..I Love the tours of thier fantastic birds in here.and that knockout hen in Walts avatar.wish Walt would do us more pics.

Its always such a treat when Julie pops in and posts some pics for us.

I went out in between rain storms and took a few pictures..it has been unbeleivably cold here and its june..we seem to be stuck in a cold rainey pattern, it was a logistical nightmare getting ready for NPIP inspection, we were soaked and cold..but luckily it cleared up that morning so went quickly and smoothly...everybody is cranky at work because it feels like we never left winter..but finnaly this weekend there is nice weather coming. still running the heat lamp in the baby A frame and its almost mid june..weird weather.

seniorita softie with like jeremy's hen is rooster damage, over zelous rooster took a spike off her comb. she has the rest of the year off just enjoying the pasture.I just love her .

She's a pretty girl aveca! Look at her deep round chest, that's how I like them.

I want more Blacks, I'm hoping to start hatching my own this fall. If I can ever grow out a Blue cockerel that I like.

I love Elizabeth's tail and her color! Amazing condition too for having been in the breeding pen.

I like this young man, he is just under 2 mos in this picture. the baby EOs are in the circular fence

a little or not so little EO, already looking chunkey..the first blue for me.

Part of the group out enjoying some greens, one of the storms blew tree limbs into my stomp fence..we have been keeping the birds closer to the house because we have seen several fisher cats out back..they think nothing of going over fence in the day..

baby blue EO, There are 2 and 2 look like black EOs but its a big pen , they are everywhere running around, I tried to get a group shot but they scatter so fast.

benjamin the australian orpington. he was a gift to me and we just built a big pen for him.never found any good hens to work with.

It is my pleasure. It's not completely accurate to assess chickens online, but some things really jump out to me. I'm a ABA/APA general licensed judge so I should know birds. The US and English Standards primary differences is that the Brits call for a smaller head and a slighly looser feathering, other than that they are pretty close in description. The actual birds though are a ocean apart.......it surprises me....you would think the descriptions would be quite different as well, but that has been said before. When you get your Standard read the first 39 pages before you read anything else. That will help you understand the rest. Many people only go to the breeds they are interested in and wonder why they can't understand it.

Walt

This is what I needed to know.

I've only read excerpts from the SOP that pertain to the breeds I'm working with and it never made sense. I thought I was going to have to find a breeder willing to sit down and define the terms for me.

Thanks for steering me in the right direction.

Jeremy she has excellent lacing and great color. It is hard to achieve that color . That boy I showed is your favorite. I have two young cockerels off him with a favorite hen of mine. When they get a bit older I will take some pics if they turn out good.
