I don't know if you guys realize it or not.... but big brother is already watching... everytime you renew your NPIP .. they know how many birds you had banded... and every time you mail your copies back to the state for all birds or eggs you sold.. They know it.

That's why it's good to live in CA. It is not required here.

Yes you are correct, they know what you tell them.

Not all States require you to band your birds with the "official npip" band. Mine doesn't.

The States are free to bend the guidelines a bit to fit the needs of the people in the State. The Federal NPIP guidelines are geared more towards mass production and hatchery type businesses, not backyard flock and hobby breeders.

Here are a couple of my 2 English Buffs from Marc Sacre. They are just 20 weeks old. I am so pleased with the round underline, and that their tails are coming in. Monty finally grew out of his "Chief 2 Tail Feathers" stage. They all do, but it seems to take forever. It was 91 today when these photos were taken, and no droopy wings either. Monty is crowing (!!!) and Mrs. P. has laid one egg, so I'm hopeful that I can get some chicks off this fall.
