It is a feeder. It's really big and heavy (wrought iron). A woman that custom makes "Old World" iron light fixtures made it. I can PM you her site if you'd like...it is a bit pricey

My husband and I spend most evenings watching the chicken nuggets so I've been sprucing up the "chicken's yard". I have an antique urn and metal rooster at the entrance of their penned area too. I figured, if I'm sitting there I'm going to enjoy our surroundings too.
