Dee... Danny is so smart... I put him out today for a few hrs... and the temps dropped.. Soo went back out to get him... He came out from behind the his dog house and sat at my feet for me to pick him up.... I am telling you... Orpingtons are the smartest chicken there is...

Sweet Danny. If you sit on the ground he will sit in your lap. All of mine do that. Sweet babies. I'm so grateful he has a loving home. Thanks for sharing.

You will have alot of fun!!! Julie will have time to talk chickens, she is a real sweet lady, and Imogene is a blast.

Don't know if you thought I was showing. I don't ever plan to do so. I want to go to have the opportunity to talk chicken and see pretty birds. There's so much I need to learn for my own backyard flock. I'll leave the showing to the professionals.

I love your cull..
I have a hen with a floppy comb. It comes and goes with the weather. Ya never know. He is to pretty not to use or a least try. Or loan out?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. In the meantime, I'll just paint his portrait...with a floppy comb.

I have a trio and a pair. They were hatched the beginning of may I believe. They are absolutely MASSIVE!!! They are still growing to!

I know you are enjoying them! My flock hatched May 21st! Everyone on this thread says they keep growing into their first year. Whew! That's going to be quite a site to behold. Be sure to post updates. We'd all love to see them.

I am finally posting a picture of the Blue I got from Marc. I really wish my picture taking could give this young fella his due. He made his first crow today. Baby's are so cute when they try on the man voice. He is getting to be a really nice size already.
