Vic, combs are not a real big deal unless he has a bad, bad comb. Alot of 4 and 6 pts combs win. If 2 birds were very very close the 5 pt bird might win. Have you ever bred a 5 pt male to a 5 pt female? Did you get a 4 or 6 pt comb, it just happens.

Just wanted to share this pretty boy who is about 6 months old. Imogene hatched him out of a Blue cock I saved last year. He made two really nice boys about the same. They have great combs and remind me so much of Charlie at that age except maybe their color might be better and their combs too. She hatched about 16 chicks and we culled through them to about 6. Those six are turning out really good. I can't wait to get some chicks off this boy. They havent started crowing yet.

Imogene is my best Chicken buddy and friend. We work together so we dont have to keep many. This boy is going to be a wide load and his color people is great
