hi everyone, I have recently acquired my first young trio of Black English Orpingtons from HappyMtn and now I am absolutely with the breed and their fluffy butts. I would love I expand my flock of them and have different colors, my favorite colors so far are Mottled, Lavender, and Partridge...here are a few pics of my BEO trio

Nice birds . Love the round pullet on the right !

Hope y'all had a Merry Christmas!

My English Orps are now 5.5 months old. Where does the time go? They are getting bigger and bigger everyday. They are filling in nicely and are going to be HUGE! I can hardly wait for the first egg!

I snapped a few photos of a couple of my LF chocolates this afternoon. These south Georgia chickens don't know what to do. Its been getting down to a chilly 35 degrees the past few nights. BRRRR!

Hope you like the pictures. I am going to try to take some more before the end of the week.

Oh they do indeed. Last winter my little flock was strolling around in sleet like it was a summer day. The barred rock and other breeds I had then were under cover, but the orps were just strolling and wondering why their sisters weren't out there with them.

All this snow just makes everybody cranky..but good news is shortest day of the year behind us..so its all forward to spring now...Husband and his gang going to be up here for the next 5 months building custome cabinets out in the shop..good thing they have that work area beacuse they would get on my nerves real quick..they do as much bull poopin as building..it really helps me out that he checks waters to make sure they havnt frozen when Im working.. ....and he watchs incubators..calls me if something doesnt look right..he had 6 big construction workers crammed into the incubator room.watching eggs hatch one day , they were like a bunch of little kids awe struck by how it happens..I dont know how they fit in that room..all big fellas, and in carhart overalls from being outside moving wood around.. it was feb..
