Perfect, Windy. With the southern drawl that most have here, it will sound like Wendy to them.
Thanks Galanie!

Isnt that horrible? People are just bold today..We have hi def cameras even down the driveway and on house roof trained in every corner along with night cameras..too bad you have to resort to these things but its the way it is..Scarey stuff Julie!!!!Julie......that's horrible! I'll pray for that family and those poor children who will probably have nightmares about that!!!!
Nellie.....I know what you mean about somebody coming up in your yard....I had somebody come in our yard and try to steal my peacock one night....when I went out the next morning....my peacock was in the tree....when he saw me he came right down.....NOW I HAVE LOCKS and A SECURITY SYSTEM IN PLACE! People are going nuts now-a-days! Hope you catch the people who stole it!
Hey all, I am good. Just have a hole in the roof. We have to call the Ins company this morning. Lost a bit of wood on the roof of the back porch.
I managed to hatch all 8 chicks. No loss of power here either.
Your chicks are cute Dee. Nice names.
I am not naming mine cause they are trial chicks. Three splash and three blue. I Probably will not keep the splash and see what color and size on the blues. I have a breed pen set up with a really huge blue male that is not a perfect specimen by any means. Put him in with a huge splash girl just to see if I could produce really large but good offspring. The splash chicks are larger than the blue ones. Isnt that funny. None may be worth keeping. Just have to wait and see.
I haven't hatched any chicks as large as those blue chicks I hatched Nov 1 out of a splash black trial. They have turned out to be a pretty lot the ones I kept. I am enjoying watching them grow. They will be 3 months tomorrow.

I have a 120 pound Akita that does not take kindly to people, or especially other animals, coming into her yard. When we had the old meter reader system the guy that came had my number on his cell. The Akita is on the inside of the fencing, the meter on the outside, but he did not want to ever lose a limb. As a pup she broke in-half an inch wide nylon leash...using her neck muscles. I guess a gunshot would slow her down, but they better get it right the first time because they'd be meat before they tried again.
I'd actually like a camera in the coop. Just what goes on in there? I would love to video tape when Mad Max is trying to show Baby- the drama queen, one more time, where to lay her egg. He makes these soothing type chirping noises. She looks at him and "yells" even louder. A scene right out of a Labor and Delivery Room, except they're chickens.
